Our founder Clive's appreciation for the important role that people play in processes (and compliance!) was born whilst working in the NHS for 19 years. Through his experience he learnt that having a good business control system in place significantly improves the likelihood of compliance with various legislative requirements. Clive now relishes being able to apply and share this knowledge to health and safety environments.

After completing his A Levels, Clive joined the Royal Navy leaving in 1989. This was followed by 19 years in the NHS, 14 of which was an Operational Manager culminating as the Associate Director for Surgery. During this time, Clive completed a Diploma (DMS) and the Masters in Management (MSc) followed in subsequent years by a NEBOSH National General Certificate in Occupational Health and Safety.

We support 'South West Fishing For Life' Charity

A cause very close to our heart – South West Fishing For Life is a charity whose aim is to provide free fishing to people going through or having gone through breast cancer.

A charity very close to our founder (Clive) family’s heart, Clive set up the West Dorset branch in 2013 and when not supporting our community through health and safety consulting, Clive supports the charity by providing free fly-fishing sessions for women with breast cancer. In 2013 it was awarded the Queens Medal for Voluntary Services
